Responsible Gaming

Every page of this site, this one included, carries links to six independent gambling-help organisations, and the eighteen-and-over restriction appears throughout the build, starting on the front page. This page explains what those links are and offers practical habits for keeping gambling as entertainment.

Independent Help

The help links on this page and on every other page of the site go to these organisations, named exactly as listed:

  • BeGambleAware
  • Gamble Aware
  • Gambling Therapy
  • G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here
  • GAM STOP
  • NCPG

Each is an independent source of help. These are the only non-commercial outbound links on the site. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking. They are set to nofollow and open in a separate tab on each organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when you follow one.

Adults Only

Gambling content here is meant for people aged eighteen and over, and the build repeats that restriction across its pages. If you are under eighteen, please leave the operator links alone.

Personal Limits

Decide how much you will spend before you start, and treat that money as already gone. A figure set in advance is made with a clear head. A figure set mid-session is made under the pull of the last result.

Never chase a loss. Raising stakes to win money back increases how much you can lose. The outcome of the next round does not depend on what you lost in the last one.

Keep gambling away from borrowed money, whether that means credit, loans or funds meant for bills. Debt turns a bad evening into a problem that lasts for months.

Take regular breaks. Time away interrupts the momentum of a session and gives you a natural point to ask whether you are still enjoying it.

Account Settings

Spending caps, loss caps, session reminders, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are things you arrange inside your own account at the destination, so check that account before you deposit. Nothing published here can switch such a control on, check it or enforce it, and several other things are also outside this site's reach:

  • This build has no account, no form and no server-side application.
  • Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place here. Any check of that kind happens at the destination.
  • No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour.

Early Support

When gambling stops feeling like entertainment, tell someone you trust early, before the amounts grow. Another person can see patterns you are too close to notice. Saying the problem out loud also makes it harder to keep postponing a decision. The organisations listed above are another place to turn, at any stage.
